Fitness Friday Recap- Feb. 7

Like my fancy title graphic? I'm going to change it each season with the  activities I am doing most.

I woke up so crabby on Monday. The whole morning I was irritable, anxious and just fed up with life. I sat down and tried to figure out where this stemmed from when I realized that I had not worked out or been outside in 5 days (besides a 30 min yoga session)!

Friday- Nothing- Planned to go running with Cat but weather was -22 so we scrapped it

Saturday– Nothing- Went to the gym at 7:30 p.m. for an 8 miler and the gym closed at 8! So I skipped the run with plans to run Sunday instead

Sunday– 30 minutes Vinyasa Yoga- I am desperately trying to find an online yoga flow that I really like, any suggestions?

The run never happened as I forgot it was Superbowl and I had to cheer for my Seahawks!

Monday- Hatha Yoga 40 minutes

Tuesday– Easy Run 3 miles.  Hoo boy! I could tell my body was recovering from an illness. I was winded and drenched in sweat by the time this “easy” run was over.

Wednesday– Mini Temp Run- 3 miles. Again, I was exhausted and the fact that I managed to haul my freezing butt to the gym was a major feat. Especially when I spent most of this day crying. Did I mention how this weather is depressing me? Again, this run was tough- but not as bad as Tuesdays!

I warmed up for a mile, ran a mile at a 10:28 pace and then cooled down for a mile.

Thursday- Oh life- you sure have been kicking my ass lately! My car wouldn’t start this morning and it wouldn’t even take a jump. It got to -43 last night. So I had to hitch a ride to work in my husbands dirty work van which meant no way to get to the gym at lunch or after work unless I want to pretend I’m climbing Everest and risk freezing to death.

So that has been my week. I’m not thrilled with it, but everyone is entitled to a bad week or two. Ryan and I are heading to Calgary for the weekend to celebrate our one year anniversary so I’m hoping it will be just what I need to relax, recharge and have a kick ass week next week.

On a side note- I found this amazing speed suit at Value Village this week. I think I’ll wear it while I watch the Olympics. Ha ha! And yes, it has stirrups!

    Nice week of workouts! I am really ready for this weather to be over, but the only positive thing is that it’s been sunny here lately. I couldn’t handle living somewhere that had grey and dull days all of the time. What do you have planned for your trip to Calgary?

      Water slides! Ha ha. We are staying at a hotel with a waterpark and pretending we are kids again. There is also an indoor competition at Spruce Meadows I want to hit. Also, a trip to Lululemon may be in order! 😉

    hahaha that outfit! I don’t anything with stirrups but I can only imagine how fun and comfy they make clothes haha
