I am a zombie without my coffee.I need at least a couple cups every morning before I even feel human. Working as a barista in college I started to like my coffee with less and less sweetener. By the time I had to cut out dairy, I was only drinking my coffee with a splash of milk. Now I drink it black, which is by far the leanest way to go! When my cousin wanted to start losing weight I suggested she drink black coffee instead of with sweetened creamers or Double doubles She was shocked when she heard the amount of calories she was drinking per day. One sweetened drink a day may not be bad, but if you drink more than one cup, it’s best to stick to black.

    I like the taste of coffee black but it’s too harsh on my stomach (I have acid reflux). I def avoid sugary drinks though. Lately I’ve been balancing out my coffee with a splash of light coconut milk. It’s really tasty and only costs you about 20 cals 🙂

    Completely agree…however, I still have my TINY splash of nonfat milk.

      My cousin drinks 3-4 cups a day so after I gave her this tip, she cut out a lot of unnecessary calories!

    I can’t do black coffee but I like mine with a splash of homemade almond milk and cinnamon… it’s got to be better then all that sweetened stuff!

      Sounds like a splash of almond, soy, or coconut is what a lot of people do. Cinnamon is a great idea!

      Thanks for sharing! I can’t handle any sweetener whatsoever in my coffee but Stevia is a good alternative.

    So true! I’m not a coffee drinker, but only because I would be the type who’d want to order something where I might have well gone to DQ for a blizzard. Coffee drinks are delicious, but I just can’t justify that one, unless I was calling it dessert!
