Friday Fitness

Can I get a redo this week? Here’s the thing about missing a workout; when you miss one it’s easier to miss the next one, then the next one, then the next one. Next thing you know, it’s almost been a week with no physical activity. I need a do over.

Friday- 5 minutes yoga

I was 5 minutes into my morning 15 minutes of yoga when while in downward dog I had to throw up. I contracted some bug and was sick on Friday and Saturday.

Saturday- Nothing

Sunday- Does cleaning for 3 hours count?

Monday- Nothing

I had full intentions of going to my lunch time yoga class but a meeting ran late and I missed the class. Then I was an idiot and ate breaded ginger beef and had extremely painful stomach pain all night long meaning I had to skip curling and couldn’t get any other workout it.

Tuesday- 20 minute Morning Yoga

I was very proud of myself this session because for the first time ever I was able to hold myself in Crows pose. Yes, it was only for a few seconds but before there was no way of doing that!

Wednesday- 2 mile easy run 25 minutes

Um….I’m a little worried about this Saturday’s 10k. Because today’s “easy” run was not so easy. And that is only a third of the distance I have to cover!

Thursday- Morning yoga 7 minutes

Yes- 7 minutes. I had an awful practice. I could not get into it or focus my breath at all. I called it at 7 minutes because I was getting increasingly frustrated.

Yes folks, you read that right. I did about 32 minutes of yoga and a single 2 mile run this past week. So pathetic. But that’s okay, I’ll just look to the future and focus on next week’s workouts.
