Friday Fitness Recap- June 13

Summer Friday Fitness

WHOA! Is it really Friday already? This week FLEW by! And  I had such a fun week, fitness wise. Car-wise this week sucked, I hate stick shifts.

Friday- I can’t remember.

No joke! I cannot for the life of me remember what I did. I believe I walked the dog… or the kids… According to fitbit I had 32 active minutes and walked 10,343 steps which is why I know I did something. Crazy!

Saturday- Long walk with a friend and long bike ride!

Saturday was awesome. I kicked off my day with a long  walk with a friend and then busted out my old road bike and biked with the kids for about an hour and a half. This was the day Rocky tore his pads all up running around like a maniac.

I logged 8.56 miles (19,303 steps) and this doesn’t count biking. Awesome day!

Sunday- Ran a few errands on my bike

Sunday was an active rest day. I was so wiped out from my long Saturday!  I rode my bike to a friends house and from her house to the bank to run an errand. That was about it though because Rocky was feeling so lousy and he just wanted to snuggle on the couch with his wrapped up paws, so I did.

Poor injured doggie!

Monday- Softball- 2 games

I love Mondays when the wind is down and the weather is nice! I didn’t play my best though I missed three pop fly’s which pissed me right off!

We bought matching pants that give us wedgies!

Tuesday- Nothing

Wednesday- Dragon boat practise

Yes- it’s dragon boat time again! I’m on a new team this year and can’t wait to participate in the Lethbridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival for my fifth year! This year, I’m paddling for Screamin’ Sea Man.

Thursday- Two hours of yard work

Don’t tell me that wasn’t a workout! I weed wacked for an hour. My right bicep was numb with exhaustion when I finally put it down. I enjoy working outside like that, maybe I missed my calling as a landscaper.

Today is the last day to enter my giveaway for a package of matcha green tea powder AND I’ve partnered with CarProof for a $100 gift card to Sportchek giveaway!

Wow, you are so adventurous! I prefer “calm sports” that are safe because I was never gifted for running, volleyball or anything else (or just had bad luck for teachers and couches?), so I tried golf. Yes, that might sound quite easy and boring, but I discovered that this is the best activity for someone like me… And it’s fun! I found the perfect place (this one) and my husband is the best company, the plus is that we can enjoy together the beautiful scenery. Well, it’s a bit expensive but we still try to go there at least once per week 🙂

I love golf, even though I’m not very good at it. Even with a cart, you walk over 10,000 steps playing a round of 18 too!
