Hemp Hearts Review

I remember making hemp necklaces at a church function and giggling because it was “practically a drug.” Ha ha! Nerd alert!

Hemp is making its way into the healthy living world and as a Sweat Pink/Fit Approach Ambassador, I was asked to try and review Manitoba Harvest‘s Hemp Hearts. I am always down to try and support Canadian companies and I was curious.

Nutrition

Hemp hearts pack 30 grams of protein and 10 grams of omegas per 30 gram serving. I could definitely tell there was protein because I was full longer after sprinkling these on my morning oatmeal. They’re  vegan-friendly, Non-GMO, and grown in Canada.

Final Thoughts

I wish I had discovered Manitoba Harvest’s webpage full of different recipes earlier! I mainly used it to sprinkle on salads and oatmeal but there are so many more options.

I would use this product mainly for my morning oatmeal because it’s an easy way to get in some a.m. protein. I don’t think I would go out of my way to order it, but if I see it in my grocery store,I’ll pick it up.

I was sent this product free of charge as an Ambassador with Fit Approach. I have not been compensated for my review, and my opinions are, as always, my own.

It’s kind of the newest “it” super food. 🙂

I’ve had hemp hearts that were in bar form with dark chocolate and dried coconut. SO good!

That sounds so good! I should check the recipe page and see if I could make something like that!

The original Hemp Hearts are still being made here in the Lethbridge. It’s unfortunate that this company in Manitoba has stolen their name.
