Spring Friday Fitness
I am filled with shame over my workouts (or lack thereof) this week. Well, let me summarize it first.

 Friday– Nothing

Saturday– Two softball games in the crazy wind

Every year I play in the Snow-Pitch tournament and that damn wind blows! My hair was caked in dirt when we left. It was still fun to get out there again.

Sunday- Wednesday– Nothing

Thursday– Attempted a run in the wind

These stairs! That wind! Ugh!!

These stairs! That wind! Ugh!!

Thursday I was determined to get in my workout after snow, rain, and the process of trying to buy/sell a house prevented me from getting in my workouts. But the wind was so bad it took my breath away. I was wheezing and puffing like a smoker after five minutes. So I forced myself to do two sets of stairs and called it good.

This week compared to last week has solidified what I always thought- I am a fair weather fitness fiend. If the weather is nice, I can go, go, go! If the weather sucks, I put on my jammies and curl up on the couch. It’s not a good thing- it’s a bad habit I need to break myself out of.

Or I could move to Hawaii……

I like this option.

Any other fair weather runners out there?

Southern Alberta runners, does the wind take your breathe away? How do you deal?

Just decide to do something and do it! You control your body so what’s the problem? #Thetrainer

I’m definitely a fair weather runner and since I don’t have a treadmill, means I start over every spring. This is why I’m not a hardcore runner and aiming for half or full marathons. I’m ok with that. I’d rather be warm and comfortable.

It’s such a struggle isn’t it? Imagine what good runners we could be if we lived in Hawaii or California? Lol.
