Fall Friday Fitness

Happy Friday everyone! Classes start next week and I’m really starting to feel the nerves now! I was going to go to this two day new Student Orientation until I saw that the sessions were things like “Budgeting with in University” and “Living Away From Home”!! Ha ha ha! So I’ll pop in on my own next Monday to pick up my books, student ID, and parking pass and call it a day.

This week wasn’t as good fitness week because I have been frantically cleaning, organizing, and doing yard work this week. For some reason, the perfectionist in me wants everything to be perfect before I embark on this new journey.

Friday- Nothing

Saturday- Nothing

Sunday- 20 min bike & Upper body

It’s nice to see that my upper body strength is still pretty good.

Monday- 30 min bike

I attempted to do sprint intervals on the bike but after three 1 min sprint intervals my foot started hurting so I had to dial it back to a steady pace at a light gear.

Tuesday- Nothing

Wednesday- Nothing

Thursday- 1 mile walk

Oh this walk! Today was the first day I could fit my foot into a runner without pain, so of course i wanted to get outside. The dogs and I headed to a nearby service road and headed off. It took me 34 minutes to do a mile!!!! I swear- when this foot is healed up, I’ll never complain about running a 12 min/mile.

I did have a small setback last night. I stub bed my fractured/dislocated toe pretty hard and it’s all swollen and painful today. Damn my clumsiness!

Looking great! Those guns! Be careful of that toe. Ouch!

One 34min mile today, tomorrow the world! You should bubble wrap your house until your toe fully heals.
