It’s my last day of classes! Woot! Woot! Finals next week and Christmas break- I am so excited!

I’m really enjoying this run streak. Not only does it force me to do at least a one mile run every day but I’ve noticed a huge spike in my energy levels! Remember how exhausted I’ve been from PE classes and workouts? Well, that exhaustion is gone! I have so much energy that I get home around 5 and spend an hour or two cleaning and doing laundry before I sit down for the evening- it’s been amazing!

I want to run more than the minimum one mile though and I’m hoping with classes and homework gone I can take more time for my ruins and make them good ones.

Friday- 1 mile run (in the dark)

I had a ridiculous amount of homework and group work and before I knew it the sky was black and I was starving for dinner. I popped over to Henderson Lake to do a quick mile in the wind and in the dark and there was no way I would have ever done it if it wasn’t for this challenge.

Saturday- 5k race & hot yoga

You can read about how Cat and I thought we were running a 10k but it turned out to be a 6k. Ha ha! Afterward we headed to Moshka yoga at the hot yoga studio and stretched out our tight muscles.

Sunday-  2 mile run

This weather has been ridiculously warm for December and I’m ready for some snow. I took the dogs out for a two mile run to take advantage of the warm weather.

Monday- 4 mile run @ Goodlife

I find the gym so much more motivating then running on my home treadmill. I don’t know if it’s because my mentality at the gym is “balls to the wall” whereas at home it’s “time to relax” or if it’s because I feel like maybe someone is watching- either way I always run much harder at the gym than at home.

Tuesday- Gymnastics, 1 mile run & racquetball

If you follow me on Instagram you know that this run was a therapeutic one. My grandpa has Alzheimer’s and on this day it was the worst I had seen it and I felt so miserable I hit an outdoor trail and just ran my little heart out. I don’t like running outside in the cold because it hurts my lungs but in this case I liked having something to take my mind off my aching heart.

Ryan took me out to play racquetball to try and distract me and I had a lot of fun.

Wednesday- 1 mile run & racquetball

I had so much fun at racquetball I asked Ryan to go and play again. And I squeezed in my daily mile on the home treadmill.

Thursday- 1 mile run & curling

I had a thought on this days run how cool it is that running a mile is my “lazy” workout.

I finished up an active week with curling!

And that was my awesome week! Nothing to exciting this weekend except studying, running, and a hot yoga date with the girls.

Have a good weekend and get outside!
