Friday Fitness Recap- Feb.5

Happy Friday! This week has flown by in a flurry! I’m hoping for a warm and wind free weekend so I can get outside and get a long run in. Homework was the name of the game this week and something had to give- can you guess what it was? Chores and workouts Let’s take a look at my week.

Friday- High jump!

In one of my PE classes we did high jump which was a lot of fun! I was told I had good form but my big butt kept getting in the way.

Saturday- Nothing

Sunday- Nothing

Monday- BodyPump and 1.5 mile easy run @ Goodlife

I wanted a good week of workouts. I have been so inspired by people like Kaella (she is a working single mom and gets up at 4:45 a.m. to work out) that I wanted to really prioritize my workouts. I hit Bodypump after work and actually Kaella was there! I also learned that while it’s a killer class, it’s not as hard as when I try to keep up with my mom! Ha ha!

I was supposed to do an easy 2 mile run after but my legs were so dead I could barely shuffle along for 1.5 miles.

Tuesday- Nothing 

Wednesday- 3 gym classes and a winter walk

Wednesday was killer! My gym classes consisted of dodgeball, volleyball, and basketball so the cardio was intense. And then it was Winter Walk Day and I was leading a walk for work (I work the Wellness Department) so I got out for a brisk 30 minute walk after all those gym classes. Needless to say I did not get in my scheduled tempo run.

Thursday- Nothing

Homework! Homework was the name of the game today. I spent 5.5 hours doing homework. Yikes! But I got a lot done and feel a lot better going into the weekend.

      My mom is so crazy in shape! She’s in Washington though but I would highly suggest doing BP with someone like her. I went over Christmas break and could barely walk for 3 days after! Ha ha ha!

    Nice job on your workouts!! I love that you get to incorporate workouts for your school/future job too! I’m in the wrong career haha!!

    It was nice to see you! I wish we could have set-up closer so we could have chatted more. We’ll have to make more BP dates in the future!!
