Friday Fitness- Sweatin’ at Lunch

This has been a pretty good week! The last couple of weeks I had school and work obligations that kept popping up and I would push back my scheduled workouts only to not do them later. And with this insanely busy couple of weeks I have leading up to my student teaching, I am going to have to be diligent in putting aside my work to workout.

Friday– Nothing

Saturday– Nothing (Just drank copious amounts of wine!)

Sunday2km hike in snow along Bertha Trail

Monday– Zumba and Dance Games in P.E. & a 20 minutes of HIIT

Every P.E. class I take right now I keep thinking “I am right where I’m meant to be!” And after PE, a couple of the other PE Gals and I head up to the track to get in a 20-30 minute HIIT workout on our lunch break.

Tuesday– Nothing

Wednesday– LOTS of dance in PE & 20 minute NTC workout

I LOVE dance! It is such a crazy workout but you’re having so much fun you don’t realize it! We learned the Virginia Reel (like on Gone with the Wind) which was so much fun!

Afterward, Katie and I went up to the track for a NTC workout.

Thursday– Curling

I usually don’t take pictures of myself at curling but my mom sent a funny selfie and so I wanted to send some too. I showed them how Canadian I am! 😛

Sweatin’ Balls at Lunch

I wanted to make ‘sweatin’ balls at lunch’ my title but I thought might be a little much. LOL! As you can see, I’ve been squeezing in my workouts right after PE class on my lunch break. After getting ridiculously sweaty, I have to wipe myself down and go to work or class.

Sometimes I wish I was a guy and could just take a 2 minute shower, towel dry off and go, but I’m a girl with make up and hair that takes forever to redo. What I’ve had to do is a little washing of the body with a washcloth or even my gym shirt, it makes me feel like this:

So when Purequosa offered to send me a sample of their organic cleansing spray made just for this purpose, I was stoked to give it a try!

I tried the  Rain Body Spray and honestly, I expected it to just be a body mist to cover up my stink. I’m happy to report I was wrong! This spray contains cucumber, oil, and tea tree oil and it removes the sweaty smell really well. I keep a washcloth in my gym bag and when I’m done my workout, I spray myself down like crazy and it works really well!

I haven’t tried it on my sweaty hair line though. I’m sure it would be fine since it’s all natural, but you can never be too sure when you have blonde hair. 🙂

    First – I am really enjoying your new shorter hair! I use some sort of wet wipe or a soapy towel to wipe myself down after a lunch workout.

    I LOVE getting some moves in on my lunchbreak – even if it’s just a walk outside. It helps de-stress and re-energize me.

      Lunchtime workouts are awesome! Even if your face stays red for an hour after like mine. 🙂
