This weekly recap is very easy. I did not work out all week with the exception of BodyCombat at Golds with my mom on Thursday. I’m not going to give an excuse, I’ve been lazy and spending my time with my family doing things besides workouts.

That said, I am pretty happy with how I did in BodyCombat. If you don’t know what that is, it’s an hour long kick boxing style cardio class. It felt amazing to kick out the cobwebs from my legs and I smiled as I felt the familiar burn of a good workout.

The ab work KILLED! We were doing a core exercise called an urban ladder and I was struggling so much my mom looked over and said “don’t over do it Rachel, just do crunches.” Of course, that made me more determined to do those damn ladders.

But I didn’t fall down and die. I was able to keep up for most of the class, even doing the jump kicks. The instructor said I did great for someone a few month postpartum which made me feel better.

I’ll get to where I need to be, I just have to be more consistent and I’ll start seeing results!

Today I’m supposed to hit BodyCombat with her and we’ll see how that goes!
