This week has been a dream; minus the flooded running paths, deep mud, and new injury.

I’m experiencing a new pain in my achilles tendon. I don’t know if it’s from the strain of running through puddles and mud or it’s just a reaction to the mileage. After doing lots of research, I know that I haven’t been doing my body any favours by skipping or rushing through stretching before and after. I’ve gotten some great advice and hopefully I can clear this up.

Let’s go through this incredible week of running.

Saturday- 7 miles

I did what I hope is the last treadmill run for a while.

Sunday- Vinyasa Flow 60 minutes

I’ve been popping into Pop Up Yoga Lethbridge sessions when I can on Sundays. It’s a great way to stretch out sore muscles from my Saturday runs and the venue at CASA is beautiful!

Tuesday- 3 miles

I was so excited to run in a t-shirt! I did misjudge how deep a section of mud was though and sunk right in. Ha ha!

Wednesday- 6 miles

I ran in shorts! Shorts! I’m sorry to the folks I blinded with my bright white legs.

This was supposed to be an easy 3 miles out and back but the flooding on the local trail was pretty crazy! I had to redirect a couple times because of all the water.

Thursday- 3 miles

Because of scheduling, I had to do this run with TyTy in his stroller. I thought running in slush was hard, but pushing a stroller through it is even harder. After a failed attempt at the nature trail, I stuck to the town streets.

How was your week?
