I’m behind on my end of year and New year posts that I typically publish. But what can I say? Two under 2 is exhausting!! Anyway, i thought I would talk about my lack of goals for 2021. I didn’t set any last year either because I knew I would be just surviving the transition to two babies but because of this unknown future of COVID it’s impossible to make many of my typical goals right now.

My 2021 Goals include (but some are limited based on COVID)

Run a Marathon

I was cheated out of all that training two years ago when I found out I was pregnant two weeks before my scheduled marathon. Due to weather and terrain liabilities my doctor advised I don’t run so I feel cheated out of all that work. If there are races in 2021, I would love to do one!

See the Grand Canyon

I don’t know why, but I’ve had a bee in my bonnet to see the Grand Canyon. I planned to do a road trip with the babies last summer but wasn’t able to due to travel restrictions. Is this the year I get to go? Who knows!

Create Routines for Less Overwhelm

Ok. This one that I can do without much affect from COVID. Last year I felt like a chicken with my head cut off. I had no control, I was physically and mentally exhausted, and everything felt out of whack. Not a good place for a Type A person to be in. This year I would like to work on more routines to make life with two littles less overwhelming. Since returning to work we have a great morning routine and things are running smoothly. It’s the after work, before bed, and weekend routines we need to figure out.

HAVE MORE FUN

This is my biggest goal for 2021. I want to laugh more, I want to enjoy life more. During the summer it was pretty easy but I find during the work week it’s ‘work mode’ until bed. I’m trying to figure out how to infuse more fun into work days.

That’s all! I’m being realistic about this year. We have no clue as to what it will look like. We can be optimistic about things opening up and making plans but we can’t count on it.

What are your 20201 goals if you set any?

Any tips for infusing fun into every day?
