I was so excited when I got an email saying my blog was being included on Culture Trip’s list of Canadian Fitness Bloggers to Keep an Eye Out For. I was even happier when I recognized more than half of the bloggers and follow them myself! Shout out to Carmy @ Carmy, Christina @ The Athletarian, Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat, Ange @ Cowgirl Runs.  The other three bloggers have been added to me Feedly account! 🙂

Canadian Fitness Bloggers to Keep an Eye Out For

Canada’s health and fitness bloggers are in a league of their own. It’s not easy getting motivated to workout or go running outdoors in the freezing conditions for which the country is unfortunately known. So keep an eye out for these inspiration bloggers across Canada, who share fitness tips and healthy recipes weekly.

Carmy

Carmy’s blog motto is “run, eat, travel.” The Toronto-based blogger writes about her love of fitness (and in particular running) and shares healthy recipes and the travel memories she prefers to collect over things. Carmy also has separate Instagram accounts for her different passions, including @curiouslychasing for her travel photos; @runcarmyrun for fitness; and @carmyshungry for foodie inspiration.

Health and Swellness

Karen Kwan is another blogger from Toronto. She admits on her blog’s “About” page: “What I do believe in is having healthy overall balance in one’s life. That’s where the ‘swellness’ comes into play.” On Health and Swellness, her goal is to share health news, fun workouts, healthy dishes and tech gear reviews that will “help you live a healthier lifestyle.”

So Sasha

Sasha Exeter’s blog, So Sasha, is a lifestyle blog featuring fitness tips, as well as fashion, beauty, and health and wellness inspiration. There are many fitness posts on her blog, and she says she’ll always “stick to functional workouts based on basic training fundamentals; keep my body guessing by frequently mixing up my works; and snack smart.”

The Athletarian

Christina is the Athletarian (athlete and vegetarian) and a Toronto fitness blogger. She became hooked on running in university, and since then, she has completed everything from 5Ks to full marathons. Along with fitness posts, Christina also features healthy recipes on her blog, as she says: “Eat whole, nutritious food and you will crave whole, nutritious food.” She even has a Races tab in her menu that lists her previous and upcoming running races, for that extra dose of inspiration.

Eat Spin Run Repeat

Angela is the passionate Vancouver-based blogger behind Eat Spin Run Repeat. She hopes that through her blog she can “inspire you to cook something tasty, get sweaty or set yourself a goal and create a plan to crush it.” She is a health coach and certified culinary nutrition expert, so you know her recipes will make you feel good and satisfied. Angela also works in marketing for Lululemon, Canada’s go-to athletic wear company.

Salads 4 Lunch

A working mom to three young girls, Janice is passionate about running and softball. She lives in Halton, located southwest in the Greater Toronto Area, and shares healthy and wholesome recipes for the entire family on Salads 4 Lunch. Janice is also one of the co-founders of #MotivateMeMonday, a weekly linkup where fitness bloggers can share their workouts, goals and training tips.

Better Livin

Rachel, the blogger behind Better Livin, says her blog is about “living your best life.” She lives in southern Alberta and is currently following her dreams and completing her physical education degree. When she’s not studying or sweating for university, Rachel loves getting out and hiking in the great Canadian outdoors that surround her area. She posts fitness recaps every Friday on Better Livin too.

Cowgirl Runs

A fitness blogger from Calgary, Angela recently turned her love for running into a business, as she’s now a certified running coach. She writes about this experience, along with race recaps, her love of Barre classes, general fitness tips and more, on Cowgirl Runs. Angela’s also very open on her blog about her anxiety. She says she’s passionate about “living a balanced life and learning how to be more awesome with each and every day.”
