You may have noticed a complete lack of fitness-related posts on this blog or social media accounts, but there’s a reason for that. I have been so crazy sick from the moment I wake up until I go to bed that it took all I had to get through my day of teaching. My weekends were spent lying on the couch. I’m not dying though, I’m pregnant!
Talk about a wonderful surprise! I haven’t openly talked about it, but we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility (apparently 30% of infertility cases are unexplained) and thought that IVF was our only option.
This is part of the reason I went back to school. I decided to take a break from obsessing 24/7 and do something to better my future. There was still hope while I was in school, but with my focus elsewhere I was able to avoid a lot of pain.
And then the weekend before the first week of school I came down with “food poisoning.” To be fair, Ryan said the Vietnamese food we ate made him sick and since I felt sick also it was a logical conclusion. Anyways, turns out, in my case it wasn’t food poisoning. Ha ha!
We are over the moon excited and I am VERY happy to finally be able to tell people. I’m also happy that the nausea should be going away soon (let’s hope)!
I’m hoping in the second trimester I can get back into a fitness routine; albeit a little different than what I’m used to.
Any tips for pregnancy workouts? Any good apps I need to try?
Congrats girl! So exciting.
I seriously can’t wait for this little one! And might I just add, you have a serious glow to you lately, pregnancy looks gorgeous on you, sickness and all haha
